Check These First Before Calling

1. Thermostat settings — Is it set to COOL? Is the temperature set below your current room temperature? Are the batteries dead?
2. Circuit breaker — Check your electrical panel. HVAC typically has two breakers — one for the air handler (inside) and one for the condenser (outside). Reset any tripped breakers once. If it trips again, stop and call us — a repeatedly tripping breaker indicates an electrical problem.
3. Disconnect switch — There’s a disconnect box near your outdoor unit. Make sure it’s in the ON position and hasn’t been accidentally switched off.
4. Air filter — An extremely clogged filter can cause the system to overheat and shut down on a safety switch.
5. Drain pan float switch — If your drain pan is full of water, a safety float switch may have shut the system off. Empty the pan, clear the drain line, and restart.
