Ruud Air Conditioner Installation — Boca Pointe, Boca Raton FL
The Situation
A homeowner in Boca Pointe called Prime Air after their aging AC system began short-cycling and struggling to keep the home cool during peak South Florida heat. The existing unit was past the point where repair made economic sense — frequent service calls, rising energy bills, and an outdated refrigerant type all pointed to replacement rather than another patch repair.
The Diagnosis
Our technician performed a full system inspection and load evaluation on-site. Given the home’s square footage, ceiling height, and sun exposure typical of Boca Pointe’s single-family layout, we sized the replacement system to match the home’s actual cooling load rather than defaulting to a like-for-like swap — a step many contractors skip.
The Solution
Prime Air installed a new Ruud outdoor condenser system, matched with a properly sized air handler. As a Ruud Pro Partner, we install these systems with a 10-year parts warranty on qualifying installs — a warranty tier not available to non-certified dealers. The full installation included:
- Removal and disposal of the old system
- New Ruud outdoor condenser, sized to the home’s actual load
- Refrigerant line inspection and replacement where needed
- Electrical disconnect and code-compliant connections
- System startup, refrigerant charge verification, and performance test
- Permit pulled and inspection scheduled
The Result
The homeowner now has consistent, even cooling throughout the home, a quieter outdoor unit, and a 10-year parts warranty backing the investment. As with every Prime Air installation, the job was completed with upfront pricing agreed before work began — no surprises on the final invoice.
